Another true story. My husband was in the Navy so my son grew up in Connecticut, near the Navy base. Later he was working in an electronics store in a mall in Lubbock, Texas, his dad’s home town. Three sweet little old ladies came in to buy a new radio. As they were talking, my son mentioned that he was from Connecticut. The ladies were outraged. “Damned Yankee!” and they walked out of the store.
