Brilliant depiction of flying. The only one I can still remember was the baby woman strip. For me, these seem almost like new.

ignorant white males have run this country into the ground, endless bloody wars, stolen everyone else’s money. ruined the water, land and air, destroyed the web of life.

i could go on,but why bother. thanks to the white ignorant voter, we are all screwed. just enjoy what time we have left.

not that i am prejudiced, lol. being a white male that is. just a casual observation.

@George TirebiterIt wasn’t safe to camp in DC in 1932 where WW I vets of the Bonus Army, their families and supporters found out. The Attorney General ordered them out and called in police who shot and killed two vets. Prez Hoover ordered Gen. MacArthur to have the army evict them. MacArthur believed it was a communist inspired plot to overthrow the federal gov’t. and had infantry with fixed bayonets and cavalry with tanks attack them and used tear gas. Majors Patton and Eisenhower were two of MacArthur’s lieutenants. It was one of the reasons Hoover wasn’t reelected. For more, google Bonus Army 1932.

LOL, This is 1973, why would Nixon allow someone to camp on the White House Lawn if they promised to vote Democrat?

@rick mcdermott There is no record of Hillary protesting against the war in the UK. She may have traveled overseas during her vacations but her higher education was a straight line from college to law school, all in the US. She spent the summer after graduated from college working in a fish cannery in Alaska. She attended the Republican Convention in 1968 (it was Nixon that drove her out of the Republican Party). If you are going to accuse somebody, please back it up with facts.

I spoke to a worker with the United Nations on Refugees, mentioned my shame we didn’t feel the need to contribute more toward refugee camps. He told me he wished all were like the USA, we don’t put them in camps, we make citizens of those we accept and if other nations would accept proportionately as many as we do, there would be no problem..Since then, some of the children of the refugees were talked into hating the nation which gave them refuge, but what can you expect in this “America’s to blame for what I do” society.

@DHGI know many people are opposed to birth-right citizenship but I love it; no person born in the United States is stateless.

David M. Shoup, MOH recipient and former USMC Commandant, also protested America’s involvement in Vietnam. The protesters are as patriotic as anybody else.

I don’t understand when people say “we need a woman president” and then complain about gender or race bias. Why would a black or woman president be better than a white or male president – unless you truly believe that women are better than men, that black people are better than white people? Try reversing it “we really need a white president” – does that sound just as bigoted as “we need a woman president”?

@George TirebiterI guess, it’s ok for angry white men to sponge off the US government (a government they don’t recognize) and threaten law officers with deadly force. If they were the Black Panthers, you would be calling them radicals and ungrateful traitors.

Many of those how had the money to get out in the first wave, or were connected, like Ky (a creep!) settled in Southern California. Down memory lane, years later I was at a restaurant in San Diego and a large birthday party was going on, a guy told a joke and I laughed. Their whole table went silent and they all looked over in my direction; the guy telling the joke was speaking Vietnamese.

@DHGI didn’t know what your stand on birth right citizenship is.The reason I said that is because I was thinking of John Shalikashvili, the former Chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff. Like the characters in today’s strip, his parents were refugees from what is now the Republic of Georgia. He was born in Poland but did not have Polish citizenship.I remember seeing a photo of his US Naturalization Certificate in a NY Times Magazine profile. His former nationality is listed as “stateless.”

@Hunter7Yeah, but the Capitol Hill gym has showers and toilets. They’re protected from the rain. Put some cots out on the basketball court and they’re good to go.
