Paul Krugman’s column on the GOP abandonment of science today (Monday, June 9) is quite perceptive on this topic. If Republican lawmakers are by their own admission “not scientists,” or “not qualified,” at least they could show respect for the near-unanimous opinion of those who know more about the topic than they do. But money, self-interest, and Obama derangement syndrome will always trump truth.
Debate? Like repeatedly explaining to you that the ‘scientists’ admit to lying about their findings? Or that the ‘scientists’ admit that all of the models they have used to date are wrong? So it’s in one ear and out the others for the climate change junkies?
