It’s that way with every business I call. The “music” they play gets on my nerves. Social Security has a good system. You give your phone number and they will call you back at a certain time. Works good.

I know I posted about this before, but it was a long time ago. The best experience I’ve ever had while on hold was with Gateway Computers. I don’t think it lasted very long, but they had a woman pretending to be a “Surfer DJ”. She would play some pretty good music, but it was her Surfer talk that was really a blast to listen to. The kind of idea more businesses should try.

“Your call is important to us.” If it’s so important why don’t you pick up the phone?

Come on Kevin, give us a little more originality. Waiting-on-hold jokes are so 1980s.

Try calling the VA for anything other than refilling a prescription. If you EVER talk to a human, you’re lucky!
