Yep, they want them in liberal arts programs to make them too stupid to be able to ever get real jobs.

I guess they need higher education to figure out the (over)pricing scheme.

I bet it will solve their turnover problem. It is AZ online courses and I bet Starbucks got a real deal on tuition. Clearly it is more than our Congress is willing to do to address the massive student debt problem they created.

The irony here is that is that if you got a degree in English or History you could only get a job at Starbucks…

After reading about the program, I find this all to a rather minor effort in regard to corporate plans for tuition reimbursement. Almost every company I’ve worked for since the 80s has had a tuition reimbursement program.

Well, Pantara just lost one regular to Starbuck’s. I’m supporting the company that supports their people, so I don’t have to.

I had to occasionally go to the dumb side of campus and sit in a class with the Liberal Arts students. Even those of us in business and engineering programs had to take the occasional liberal arts “fluff” courses….

Good for Starbucks. With the non-recovery economic recovery there is alot of resentment towards companies on the lower end of the wage scales and hopefully efforts like this will not only help employees, but keep govt out of private enterprise.
