At age 67 I morn the loss of summer but am overjoyed that once again I do not have to trudge back to the dictatorial confinement of school…..poor victims.

…and yet, they fall from the same tree…

Danae should be grateful that her sister posted that sign post to the future… *How many adults wish that there was fair warning about the ‘pit falls’ in life as we approached them. things like; ‘Childhood ends ahead’, Caution, love and heartbreak approaches, Slowdown.’ Career begins now. Prepare for sudden Loss of love and loved ones… danger loss of job and finances ahead… warning; Retirement, old age and death over next hill. These things make up our existence and we seldom have any kind of warning… Kate did Danae a little favor. Danae should be grateful.

I love future women like Kate…..Just the other day, I was at a club in mixed company. The guy next to me was talking to a cute woman on the other side of the table…The line I heard was: “But you don’t look like the kind of person that would do something like that…” I looked at him and said, “Oh, so you’ve never met a woman before, huh?”…..Only the women laughed…..

Particularly “sneaky” — I guess I would prefer Danae’s blatant honesty — tho I like the both.

I continue to be amazed that we are talking about “back to school” — even before the 4th of July these days — I guess it’s a retail thing.

I ,too morn the loss of summer, but now rejoice in the passing of mowing season, sunburn season, and bug spray season.
