If thats the real Calvin, Let me say: COME BACK BILL! WE MISS YOU!

That looks like a 1986/early 1987 Calvin. Was that intentional? The rounder style Watterson used then does fit into Maria’s Day better than the firmer, more angular look of the later stuff.

An excellent rendition of Calvin, Kudos! Probably too much to hope for a full view of Hobbes? I do hope Mr. Watterson is enjoying whatever he’s doing these days.

I was hoping that Bill might be doing a Guest Strip or two for another comic, like he did in Early June 2014 for Pearl before Swine. Maybe not…

some of us even make fan fiction calvin strips. like when he is older, married to susie, and has a daughter. hobbes is still there.

I think Scott did a great job here bringing out Calvin.

Awesome likeness. I grew up loving Calvin and Hobbes, passed that love onto my brothers and soon will pass it on to my daughter.

Whoa it’s Calvin!

So far no one knows of any. He got the idea to do it for PEARLS BEFORE SWINE, because of a gag Pastis had done. He did do a painting of CUL DE SAC’S Petey.
