I don’t see any evidence that these “kids” were victims of child sex trafficking…. SO YES, SEND THEM HOME!

The law clearly requires the children have a right to due process and a hearing. I guess Cinci has been spending his time at the border talking to the refugees? I saw a report that said the kids had better vaccination records than the average American kid because they believe in vaccinations down there.

I think each and everyone of these individuals should have their day in court. I am always suspicious of a government policy that short-circuits are justice system in favor of expediency (Think the Kangaroo courts in Guantanomo and even worse in the Fisa secret courts).

I’m pretty sure that most of these Refugees are Economic Refugees fleeing Low wages, Low opportunity countries for the better opportunities here in America. I think the Refugees should be triaged and those that can’t be dealt with immediately should be kept in Barracks (Think the Cuban Refugees in the late 70s) until their case can be reviewed.

Those Barracks should be austere and segregated (male/female) but humane. Make sure that anyone sent back to their country of Origin tells their friends that "You better have a good story before you cross the border or you will fritter away months in boredom.

I also think they should be housed OUTSIDE the US so that the pregnant 16 year olds crossing the border don’t have access to an anchor baby. (Yes I know that’s a caustic term but it is very appropriate when that is the way they are establishing permanent residency).

    And @ODon:

Words of warning here: site moderators do banish posters, and the rules are…..shall we say….murky. However, personal attacks and name-calling (even if it’s calling a political party a name and not a specific individual) seem to be frowned upon.

You make clear points, and you often do a good job of supporting your points. I recommend you try to stick more to the subject at hand, and do less to negatively characterize those on “the other side”, if you want to continue to have the opportunity to post.

But it’s a free country, so they say. Take this advice or not.

Hey Rodney and LibMan!I knew you couldn’t show me that these women and kids were sex slaves(which would be the only legal reason they aren’t sent home) so as usual you Lefties just go by emotional, unfounded arguments and kiddie insults.Next time at least try to back up your whining.

The William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008 was signed into law in 2008. Under the previous president.

Not sure where this cartoon references immigration. What I see is that Obama isn’t letting Putin and Ukraine disrupt his golf game. Immigration isn’t even on the radar.
