    They had bakelite, around 1935, made into many things including kitchenware. And it wasn’t cheap. So in fact she is complaining that her family was rich.

    Avis that is nothing you had a snap of your childhood. My mom who is far older relieves her very tortured unhappy childhood for over 70 years she is 89 now.
