Best place to nap, but watch out for sunburn.

As Dean suggested, a nap at the lake feels like a good day. A nap in bed just seems lazy.

At least, we aren’t watching Alix reject everything that her Mother wants her to try on. This surprised me, I thought it would be Holly that would be ‘fussy’ ! ! ! !

Well that is one way to enjoy the last of the summer. Here in KS now in September not sure how much summer we will have before front changes temps here. We have state fair approaching usually occurs mid week day will tell. We have been to fair when the clouds descended and rain pored. Parts of State Fair will flood.

After reading this comic, I was inspired to take my daughter out for an early morning romp on Toronto Island at Chelsea Beach. She’s too much wired after breakfast for a nap so I had to keep an eye on her. Had fun, though.

This cartoonist sure has a fixation with summer. I would think she would be aware that there are still three weeks until fall begins.

    Val has her priorities right!

As for those who are obsessing about which lake in Oregon could be so big that you don’t see trees: It’s a “camera angle”-type shot. You get to see the boats without the trees interfering!

Of course they got up at dawn; sunrise has been taking place noticeably later than it did last month. We’re past the summer solstice by over two months, so we’re closer to the Fall Equinox, when fall really begins. And Oregon observes Daylight Saving Time; when we go back on Standard Time, the mornings will get lighter, but only temporarily, of course.
