I can’t tell if that’s a heron or an egret, if either. Some silly names:No Egrets Heron Inn Vin Aigrette (Aigrette = French for egret)I still like Chez Day, Chez la Vie, or Day’s Inn – but that’s taken. Chez Nous… or Chez New

ominous portent indeed… maybe panel three is symbolic stork implying the picnic events may have popped a bun in the oven?

Not an Albatross. The Albatross has short legs and their beaks aren’t that long. Not a Great Blue Heron. Wrong color. Not an Egret. Egrets don’t have black on their head and their beaks are longer.I am going with Army_Nurse and Bob. It is closer to a stork, but the beak is not quite long enough or thick enough. Still, it is quite good and very close to a stork.

I was thinking panel 3 was representing a stork, and was designed to signify that all this France talk and bistro talk was going to go out the window, because the two of them are pregnant, but do not yet know it.

Great Herons have two phases, white and blue. This a a white phase. If they are going to have wine and spirits, I like Le Manchot Gris – The Tipsy Penguin. Gris is slang for drunk and not just the word for ‘gray’.

They should either call it Fai Do Do (if they’re into Cajan) or if they’re into Cajun-soul fusion, the name would be “Chez WHAT?”

!. If they need to borrow any more from ANYONE, they’re going to want to see your "business planney If you don’t know what that is, you have to go back to school — going to Paris to see what color of curtains they have in a restaurant should be secondary…

If I were to suggest a name for the restaurant…. specifically THE bistro in the country by the farm, I think the name:++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++“Vouée à l’échec”

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Would be perfect. It means “Doomed to Fail” in French. I still think if they have to take a stab at this, using Gus’s restaurant would be the better bet.
