It could’ve been worse … if Dali came up with the idea.

A little late to fall back, but cute anyway.

In another few months they’ll get all wound up, ready to spring forward…

They forget that it leads to this.

I can only HOPE that someday all this silliness with the clock changes will end. What might have made sense to someone long, long ago — frequently attributed to Benjamin Franklin — makes absolutely no sense to modern, educated people. It simply becomes a semi-annual inconvenience and a disruption to circadian rhythms..For all the wisdom ol’ Ben projected, it’s amazing that he would have either initiated or bought into this idea.

And it was only at the last moment that they cancelled their planned March 9 midnight star viewing visit to rim of the Grand Canyon.

Some tribal chief supposedly said, “The white man is the only one who will cut the end off a blanket; sew it on the other end, and think he has a longer blanket.”

Saving not Savings. It’s called Daylight “Saving” Time.http://www.webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/.

…and I would love to see this law repealed. It’s pointless.

Leave the timepieces alone and change your own hours if you think it so important.

Ok, so here’s an idea for a compromise: next Spring we spring forward 1/2 hour, and then we never fall back, ever again.

I’ve read that Franklin only meant it as a joke. He didn’t expect anyone to take it seriously.

mabrndt: Interesting map. I am not too sure what it means, but every red country was someone’s colony prior to the mid-20th century. It could have something to do with getting the most work out of the labor force, but I would need to see the orange divided up into when they abandoned it and when the blue adopted it. It might indicate when it changed from a national colony to a multinational corporate colony. Or why Saskatchewan (where Tommy Douglas invented Canadian Medicare) is orange but Scandinavia is blue. Raises far more questions than it answers.
