It calls this painting Hunter Bathing, In a Landscape, and its discussion starts here for a couple pages.Its Provenance section (starting here) provides another description and says it was last(?) purchased January, 2007. The artist’s Wikipedia page and collection (more under Subcategories at each level).Earlier work, by this artist, used in a strip (2 total), that also appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog.

PS Explanation re Man of La Manxa and Isle of Man. Inhabitants of the Isle of Man are called Manx, thus Man of La Manxa …..ah..forget it!
