^As anyone familiar with SERE will tell you, torture doesn’t work, which is exactly what McCain says. Those who haven’t experienced any of our techniques don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. You also don’t want to know what WE did in Viet Nam.
It is really simple, one can be honorable and ethical or one can choose to be evil. Only hypocrites try to assign shades of gray. You can’t torture people during the week and then attend Mass on Sunday to remove the stain.
“Stop being a partisan tool. Pelosi etal knew too.”
The fact that Democrats knew about this does not excuse the fact that no one, of any party, with any power to do anything, did anything.
However, I have read that there was a memo from the White House to CIA instructing them not to tell Gen. Powell, because he’d get mad. How many other people were intentionally deceived? Other than most of the American public, that is?
You are making the false assumption that torture will provide information that would keep America safe.
If torture worked, perhaps it might be indicated in very limited settings. But it does not provide useful information, and it helps people find a reason to hate us. Whether they are justified in hating us in the first place, it is counterproductive to provide more concrete reasons to do so. It’s one thing to send soldiers into a beehive. It’s another to pummel the beehive before sending them in.
Clinton didn’t open Abu Graib, but he did sign the order in 1995 to allow Torture and Extradition. What’s great is a Quote from AL Gore in 1993 in a meeting:“That’s a no-brainer. Of course it’s a violation of international law, that’s why it’s a covert action.”
There’s a critical difference between “right” and “dead & right.” The Terrorists are not entitled to any protection under our constitution. They have declared war against us and will kill any American simply because of their nationality. We owe them nothing.

@exoticdoc2So you are saying that we should strive to be more evil than the evil against which we strive? You are a sick and evil individual!

Neither.
I will repeat: “…no one, of any party, with any power to do anything, did anything.”
