I’m a little skeptical that she’s a she. Isn’t it more likely they’d put him in with another male prisoner, no matter how bad the overcrowding is? Don’t get your hopes up, Spook!

Seemed to me when Spook first appeared in this strip he was a prisoner who’d been held so long, he had long hair and an overgrown beard. Somehow he changed to a bald guy with a hairy body.

How can you take a guy who has been alone in his cell for more than 50 years (he was already overgrown with hair when he first appeared in 1964 – thanks for the link Fido3) and move him elsewhere to solitary confinement. Yes, I get the intended joke, but it really doesn’t work when he’s already alone in his confinement.
