I’m pretty sure that a judge ruled that the Selma march was constitutionally protected. I’m not familiar with the judge that said assaulting a cop (Ferguson), resisting arrest (New York), or assaulting a citizen with “Ground N Pound” (Sanford) rise to same level of legal protection. The “Facts” of the three marquees around the corner are that all three incidents resulted in acquittals of the accused.
Actually, I was through Selma not all that long after the march, not a place I’d “fit in”. I’m also seeing some reviews of the movie that aren’t that compllimentary, in large part because of deviation from historical accuracy. While the Director claims it isn’t a “documentary”- playing loose with the truth is a bad, bad, thing when people WILL assume it’s factual, and not “fictionalization” of events, and real people.
Which, we need to keep in mind Berkely, just 2 miles from Ferguson, where a bad guy WITH a gun, started to be a demonstration event, until it was proven he, oops, was indeed armed and willing to kill.
Which, ALSO, it’s important for folks to realize that crimiinality is just that, criminiality, and being Maori, or anything else in the spectrum of humanity, is NOT an excuse to be a criminal, or be made a hero if it catches up with you, even if tragically.
Well, you’ve made your commitment to insulting, rude, and nonsensical posts quite clear now, thanks for that. Your attempt to distract has failed, of course. And your inaccuracy remains: most civilized foreigners were pleased to have Obama rather than Bush, who helped promote the terrorists he claimed to fight. No, I haven’t forgotten the two dead cops, either. You have conveniently forgotten the MANY people killed or brutalized by cops who are not being properly supervised, and who hold “the thin blue line” against any criticism.

I started to write “we can hope,” and then realized that this is also sort of sad.

“Jim Guess said, 32 minutes agoYup. Too bad Mr. Bennett doesn’t check the FACTS…”Sadly, your FACTS are worth less than you comments.

I suggest you quit using the nonsensical and insulting neologism “libtard.” It is offensive.
