Despite what you’ll hear from certain quarters, there is no prohibition of individuals praying in schools as long as it’s not disruptive to the educational process. My students did it all the time, until they figured out actually knowing something was more helpful.

Kea is exactly on point. There is no prohibition of individual or even group prayer in schools as long as it is not coerced, sanctioned, or lead by an authority figure.
You can pray anywhere you like. The point is that you cannot make me pray (or my child).

You can pray all you want, Monty. As long as you don’t 1) ask your teacher to lead the other kids in prayer with you, or 2) interrupt the other kids’ studies with it. See how easy that was? Too bad there are so many adults who can’t grasp that concept.
