Most of the fights with my little sister were about her getting on my nerves, and I imagine the reverse was equally true. Two very different people forced to live in the same house.

Half the fights, oh those plentyful fights, that my younger¹ brother and I had, halfway into the fight, neither of us could remember what started it. Never mind waiting ‘til we grew up. It’s just the sort of thing that brothers² do, innit?

    1) Actually my oldest brother, though he is my oldest younger brother. Ah, to be the first born. There was also the ‘being older and knowing better’ thing that I never quite got to grips with.

    2) Getting along fine now, though. Growing up³ can work wonders.

    3) Not that I will ever admit to growing up. Older, perhaps, but never up.
