I’m still trying to figure out if I’m right or left. I’ve been in business, and I see how the market doesn’t care and neither does the goobermint. I’ve had my ups and downs attributable to either functionary. Life is complicated and I crave stability, so it’s hard to choose sides.

The simple test: do you think government regulators help? If so, you are left, and if not, you are right. As I am to the right of anyone you can name, I would abolish every Federal administrative agency with power to levy a fine without going to an article III court.

The good book says that te heart of a wise man tends to the right and that of the fool to the left. BTW jbmlaw, I too make Rush and Glen look like left wing liberals.<><me

I believe people have to take responsibility for their actions. I guess that makes me conservative but not necessarily a conservative.

Maybe we should take a tip from Logic. Breaking anything into only two camps can be a false dichotomy. What if Conservative and Liberal concepts aren’t polar opposites. Let’s all get together to find another label we can despise together and make ‘Merica strong again like it used to be before we were born when no one argued politics. I still can’t find the ‘sarcasm’ key on this computer. I need a new one.

Some major liberal victories have been won by ultra conservative arguments defending that right.

we have become a ‘label’ society. ‘sound bite’ decision makers. demand ‘get in the box’ people. litmus test judgments. AND then we wonder why things happen the way they do. maybe before we blow the world up we will realize that it is way more complicated than our logic can figure out and yet as simple as the golden rule. maybe, but i’m not holding my breath.

Once Emmanuel Kant declared we can never see reality as it reeaally is, truth became a personal prejudice. But reality is real and if you follow the appropriate rules, it is knowable. To deny this is to admit you don’t know anything.
