My sister and her companion had a cat that would beg on spec. She would come up to you, you would let her sniff what you’re eating and she would turn away as if to say, “How dare you try to give me that! That’s not food!” Five minutes later, she’d be back.

My husband used to like hot salsa mixed with his scrambled eggs. One time our cat, Tiki, was watching him eat, smelling the eggs. When my husband finished, he put his plate down for Tiki to lick, purposely leaving some of the salsa chunks. Tiki ate every chunk, licked the plate “clean”, and meowed for more.

K.C. Fahel: In trying to paper train our puppy, we blocked the kitchen with 1×12 boards. Teething, he tried gnawing on the boards, so we put tabasco sauce on the top. He just developed a fondness for Tex-Mex dishes.

My wife’s cat used to take many little bites out of a loaf of fresh bread. She also asked to come in by doing a Garfield on the front door screen.

we had a cat that loved to chew cardboard. it also loved to lift up the cardboard box with the emergency metal! fire escape ladder and let it drop, repeatedly, at night when we were trying to sleep.

That sounds truly awful. Then again, I like banana peppers on my tuna sandwiches.
