Wow, I think I read all the Hardy Boys mysteries (and there were a lot of them) when I was a kid. That was about sixty years ago.

I read somewhere (or was told) that Hardy Boys author, Franklin W. Dixon, probably a pen name, also wrote the Nancy Drew books. Don’t know if that’s true or not.

I used to read the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and the Bobsy Twins! Rover is always so attentive!

I also read the Hardy Boys Mysteries. I had several of the hard cover books in my younger days.

I started with Robert Heinlein when I was nine. The Librarian was very helpful. Library’s are great!

In the late 60’s my father was the director of a 5th to 12th boarding school. there was just about nothing to do during the summer break, so I read all the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and the Bobsy Twins books that the library had in my junior high summers. must have been 2 to 3 feet of each all hard back I think. Well reading did come after taking care of the horses, chickens and rabbits, and the occasional horse back ride around town or campus.

Some of those first 40 Hardy Boys titles sound really familiar. Same with the early Nancy Drew books, not sure if I had access to the original or the update releases.

My older brother already had a good start on the Hardy Boys books (all hardbacks) when I started to read. I devoured them and then started on the Nancy Drew series. And yes, I also heard that Carolyn Keene and Franklin Dixon were the same person.
