Yeah, perish the thought that kids can just play any more, without organization, daily practices, uniforms or structure.

Organized sports; sucking all the joy out of your kid’s games for as long as you’ll let us!Incidentally, studies have shown that kids who grow up playing multiple sports develop into better all-around athletes. Why that should come as a surprise to anyone is unfathomable.

Better redshirt him now so he gains a year of growth on his classmates.

Many years ago my son got tired of “grown-ups” behaving like mean little jerks (the coaches), berating their children (parents) and the rigging of teams (leagues) so he got into skate-boarding and roller blading with his buddies and I was really happy with his decision, since I was sick of it too.

Sooner or later there will be Little League Kill The Man With The Ball (and then semi-pro, and then………)

I went to a Little League game as a grade schooler and was so put off by the way the coaches and parents were acting, I stuck with playing on a vacant lot with my buddies and never signed up for LL. That was 45 years ago and I still love baseball…not sure I still would if I’d had to deal with jerky coaches or parents sucking the joy out of the game.
