After getting tons of calls for a beer joint, one woman didn’t believe I wasn’t the joint. She demanded repeatedly that I get her husband on the phone. After explaining many times that she misdialed and her husband wasn’t here at my house, I’d had enough. Next time she called I told her he didn’t want to talk to her and hung up. She must have gone directly to the bar and found him there and I never got another call. Hated to be mean but———
I just got a cell phone a few weeks ago. It seems the prior owner of that number is a visiting nurse and hasn’t changed her number with all of the places she subbed for. I am gradually letting them know they have the wrong number. Not sure whether to get the number changed or not.
Emily: True. After a peaceful month, we got a call from Heather a couple days ago. Unless both identified and wanted, we don’t answer the phone at all, but wait for left messages (which is how we knew it was Heather). As far as we are concerned, she can stay on the hill.

That’s pretty deep for a two-dimensional cartoon character, Opal…

My first phone number came with debt collectors looking for some chick named Dana; it got so bad that her grandma was calling too.
