To be true to the character, her third answer should have been:“No. I think we should hire the most competent people who can do the job of representing the company and product lines to our customers. Obviously we have been primarily selecting for gender, appearance, and age. Even though I may have benefited from that kind of bias, I don’t think it’s right. We shouldn’t discriminate against anyone who can do the job.”

In a market of identical products at an identical price, your only advantage is branding and presentation with loyalty to the sales force.

Our strip creators have apparently forgotten that nearly half of physicians are women. But hey, thanks for reinforcing an old gender stereotype!

I think it’s actually a smart business practice if the majority of people buying are males. Now I feel like a traitor.

What is sad about this is, based on what I have seen walking in and out of my cardiologist’s office with sample cases, etc, sex sells. Instead of logical argument, facts, and other techniques just trot in a hot blonde in a black tight mini.

The target and possibly an easy sale are people we trust our lives to.
