They’ve been going through that gate on a regular basis, but shhh, don’t tell it to the righties, or American media. Now that Jordan, Egypt, and others are getting fed up? Also notable that even Hezhollah has disowned them, among others.

But it’s also more like eliminating the bloods, crips, and our own crazy militias and hate groups, not a nation state.

Our President can’t even call the what they are, Muslim Terrorists! He does call them the JV Team tho.Obama would’ve called the Nazis a “small group of people we disagree with”.

Blah. One man’s empire building is another man’s terrorist action. Let them fight it out. May the best bureaucrat with the most money win.

I take it that Libs worship at the Church of Obama more than they cherish life or hate evil?

Freedom Fighters rebel against their oppressors with insurgency tactics. Terrorists use fear and violence to effect ideological change. Pick up a dictionary once in a while and you’ll see that ISIS is many things, but freedom fighters are not one of them.

No need to be devil’s advocate here, festin. You have cracked the code. For some primitive reason, warmongers are always “thinking” with their amygdala. Warmongers say they hate war, but secretly nothing satisfies them more. They say “get them over there before they get us over here.” The problem is that violence of this sort is not really ameliorated by more violence, at least from the west. This is up to the Muslims to fix. They have to. They’re the only ones who can. Our level of understanding is very low here. We overreact to sensationalized accounts perpetrated by murderous Islamic idiots. It is actually quite heartening to see the Egyptians involved. The level of faith in the ability of the US military to solve real problems is massively overstated. Go ahead, all you warmongers, call me a libtard. A drooler. Delusional. Whatever. The facts bear out my words. Do any of the warmongers care about recent history? Oh, it’s Obama’s fault that he pulled the troops out. Uh huh. Sure. Iraq was a fully functioning society as long as Americans are patrolling the streets. Why is that up to us? Yes we screwed the pooch invading in the first place, but that doesn’t mean by committing more cannon fodder to a failed battle plan makes any sense whatsoever. We failed in Iraq due to our profound ignorance of the Iraqi culture, politics, religion, tribal insecurities, and so much more. What gives anyone the crazy idea we can, in any way, succeed by more military involvement? Nutty. Really violently nutty.

Nope, not in the sense I get paid to “do” science. Since you noticed, though, I am an observer of things that interest me. I attempt to figure out how we can align ourselves with the structural principles that inform not only the natural manifestations (think chrystaline structure of certain minerals) but the very expression of our consciousness. These principles have to be true even when we cannot see them or understand them. My conclusion so far is that science offers one way to better understand the organizing principles. Not the only way, but one way. Religion seems unlikely to offer the right questions. Answers it has, but they seem unlikely, perhaps useful to some, but unlikely on an a priori basis. So, am I a scientist? Nope.

ISIL is an exeption to “humanity” as well as Islam, but we can stop such as them from forming together, or increasing their numbers.

Years ago we were supposed to have trouble with Hells Angels. We met the lead group, including Sonny Barger, the leader and supposed devil incarnate. We went up, started polite conversation and treated them the same as anyone else. When we ended the conversation and asked ’em to “be nice”, Sonny assured us that HE and his own would see to it that there was NO trouble, and if it started, HE and the LEADERSHIP would quickly end it.

Diplomacy again wins over war. In the Middle East and with that Muslim community of over 1.5 BILLION people around the world, maybe if the “Christian” community, and right wingers in the U.S. stopped treating ALL Muslims as terrorists we must destroy, and try their best to, maybe fewer would turn against us with violence we bring to them?

Given the opportunity to be civil, and not get yourself killed, wins over a bar fight, or a war that never happens.

ISiS is a apocalyptic organization. Nothing more would fulfill their fantasies and recruitment than if the US sent troups on the ground to fight them. They are wait for Jesus to come down and fell the infidel and for Turkey to confront them. http://www.brookings.edu/blogs/markaz/posts/2014/10/03-isis-apocalyptic-showdown-syria-mccants

These guys in ISIL lean toward the Wahabi line of Islam, and gee, that’s Saudis, who still regularly use the “long knife” on serious criminals, beheading them, like girls who date without their daddy’s permission.

“…..What is the solution …..”.Unless you are prepared to engage in Middle Eastern \ Islamic continuous tribal conflict; prepared to bleed the homeland in continuous warfare thousands of miles away; lose thousands of American lives and take tens of thousands of their lives; and unless your goal is to dominate Middle Eastern politics and resources, the solution may seem too simple and even naïve. But I don’t think it is. The solution is to get out and let them determine their own future and fight their own battles.
