My school was a thousand miles away. I had to walk it standing on my hands. Over lava. Uphill both ways. Backwards. Blindfolded. Carrying my brothers. While doing my homework. Holding my breath. Boy, you guys had it easy.
When I was a kid we didn’t have a remote control for our TV. I had to physically get up off the couch, walk over to the TV set and turn a dial to change the channel and then walk back to the couch and sit down again. And if I didn’t like the what was on the channel I would have to repeat the whole process over again and again until I found a show that I liked. And we did not have a color TV. All the shows were in black and white. Life was tough back then.
