IRS, ACA, etc. No problem. The new improved government regulated internet will run faster and be cheaper. /S

I don’t know why Republicans put so much trust into business. We are surrounded by companies that do things that are not in our best interest. Health insurance companies, pharmaceutical and medical equipment, Comcast and AT&T, ComEd, and companies like GE that make billions and the government ends up taking our taxes to give them an income tax rebate. Companies are monopolizing the Internet and compromising security so they can make more money. The rising tide has not lifted any middle class boats.

Are all these people really shills for the big ISPs, or are they really that ignorant of what net neutrality is. Hey folks, net neutrality is the Internet working the way it always has, as opposed to your ISP deciding what you get to see. “But now the government will decide what we get to see!” the ignorati exclaim. Well, no, net neutrality explicitly forbids discrimination against any content.

The whole notion when this began with radio was that the airwaves are public and licensees had public responsibilities in exchange for licensing. That has kind of gone by the wayside since mid 20th century. The only “losers” here are the big shots.

Another big government solution in search of a problem.

Because you’re NOT there – that’s NOT what net neutrality means – except in the fevered dreams of idiot conservatives!!

Sometimes you need government regulation to dismantle monopolies. Unfortunately, our government is too busy being paid off by big telco (thank you Citizens United) to try and actually do something about the monopolies. Net Neutrality is mainly about no fast lanes as opposed to “last mile” or that cable that runs into your house. What no one here has mentioned is that competition is needed here. Yes, I mean government mandated competition. Hard to beat a true monopoly otherwise. (Ma Bell anyone?)

I’d rather have the feds ruling over the internet than a telcom company.

She should have made it Comcast agent. Twisted logic and regularly not understanding the issues.

Cuban is firmly in the camp that think Net Neutrality is a bad thing because it stands in the way of making money. His politics lean firmly towards laissez faire libertarianism. As to the idiot part… that’s subjective, but I admit he is really good at making money for himself.

300+ pages they haven’t showed us yet, huh? I guess they had to pass their regulations so we could see what is in them.

Obama’s robots assure us the 300+ page “net neutrality” just means a neutral net. You know, the way his 2800 page “Affordable Health Care Act” made health care so much more affordable.

If we were going to like it, they would have let us see it.

The cartoonist has no idea how net neutrality works.
