Why not get the facts straight first. The president has said all along he will not act until the environmental impact study results are finalized which they aren’t. All evidence points to it being approved, but the president sign anything until that time which should be in the next couple of months. The republicans are just playing their “I’ll show him who’s boss” game by passing the legislation now.
I thought “building infrastructure” and “creating middle-class jobs” was Barry’s #1 goal?Oh and to you other Lefties, how’d you like that train wreck in W Virginia?
It was a Republican governor who first questioned the pipeline route traversing the aquifer which many depended on and many private citizens were concerned about losing land to eminent domain. The main contention came when “liberals” also started questioning these issues.
This cartoonist is a terrific artist with a bad outlook. Yes, Obama vetoed the Pipeline and now all Congress has to do is override his veto. Surely the all-GOP Congress should manage this, or are there certain big baby actors in Congress who whine when the Democrats can hold back their idiocy?
If Congressional Republicans cared about creating temporary construction jobs, they’d add funding to fix the nation’s infrastructure. They wouldn’t even need to add to the debt. They could just use the money they’d normally tack on to the defense budget to by weapons the Pentagon didn’t ask for.
Horse schitt. If the right was worried about jobs, they would bring back some of the jobs they outsourced to foreign countries to be done by slave labor. The righties still love the slave labor. I hate both parties. Neither give a damn about real Americans. Scare the hell out of em, vote third party!!!
What jobs will be left in 20 years when there are no more fish in the oceans, no more fresh drinking water, no unpolluted rivers, and most of the cities in the world which were on coastlines are inundated? Not surprised that Republicans would go for Keystone…they have short attention spans and can only think as far as the next election. Obama doesn’t have to do that any more. He’s thinking of what is good for America ecologically. Republicans can’t even spell the word!
