Interesting the article says dealings with Iran but doesn’t go into them just that an al Qaeda operative wanted to work from there. "Some of the key revelations in the newly-released bin Laden files relate to al Qaeda’s dealings with Iran and presence in Afghanistan.
A top al Qaeda operative asked bin Laden for permission to relocate to Iran in June 2010 as he plotted attacks around the world."
It doesn’t go into if it actually happened or Iran let it happen. Not defending Iran in anyway. Search Iran link to terrorism. It would be interesting to know more or if al Qaeda really had any relationship with Iran other than hostile. Saudi Arabians definitely seems to have financed al Queda and the Saudis and Iranians don’t get along.
