I was embarrassed by the whole Congress in becoming Bibi’s political goats for the folks back home, who, hopefully, will vote that jerk out of office in tow weeks.
When Israel stops the settlements, restores rights to Arab Palestinians (the REGION has been “Palestine” for over two millennia! and the Arabs ARE “Semites” the same as Jews and other sub-sets of the tribe) who lived in that region, while like the Jews, NOT AlLOWED to have their own “state” and “homeland” as both Balfour and PEEL commissions called for at the turn of the last century. Only the Jewish state was established, and that is NOT what the Biritish intended afer the Ottoman Empire lost out and PALESTINE became a British “protectorate”.
^I have a 1924 atlas that clearly defines the REGIION as I’ve stated above, as PALESTINE. The Romans called it Palestine (Latin version). While, as I stated, no “state” has been “Palestine” in the past, folks living their, like Semites, Arab and Jew, WERE indeed Palestinians, ALL those Semites were Palestinians. it was the REGION recognized for centuries, after “Philistia” went out of style.
The most massive influx of Jews to Israel came from RUSSIA, which is why Russian, not Hebrew, was the number one language in the formative Israel, and also why it was the most Communist government, with those kibbutz, state owned industries, until just a couple years ago when Israel Defense Industries, among other state owned companies, were finally allowed to begin “privatizing”.
