No wonder Boehner and the other Republicans like him – a liking greater than their loyalty to the US. They finally found a constituency they can point to when they are criticized for their misogynist, racist views.

Thanks for pointing this out, festin. I have already noted this several times. Iran fought an 8 year war with the Iraqii Sunni Ba’athists, not the Shi’a who comprise, what, 65-75% of the population. Possibly the largest “benefit” from W’s war in Iraq will be an eventual rapprochement with the Persians. Remember that Germany, Japan, and Vietnam were all sworn enemies of the US at one time. Persia will once again be an ally of the US against the forces of radical Islam. It will take a few years, but it’s highly likely.
