Lucy by two, huh? Well she’s ahead by one in the first panel, increases it to four in the second, maintains it at four in the third, and though we don’t see it say lap she’s lapping in the fourth increasing it to five. So that means Charlie Brown has at least three unseen laps prior to the first panel as Lucy has ten we can see to Charlie Browns five we can see. And who knows exactly how many unseen laps they both have.

More like a competition on who get’s the first brain freeze.

And thus a young Stephan Pastis is set on his path to his future career.
