Ah, the classic “Lady or the tiger”… hmmm

I know, it was no lady, it was your wife.

No, no. It was no lady, it was YOUR wife.

41’s just getting going. Well, in life - it’s definitely time to find a new career. If I were him, I’d get out of football and actually enjoy some of that fame and wealth while he’s still young enough to do it.

leaky - Way too late. He’ll probably engineer another retirement soap opera this year. The man was an excellent football player, but he has become a total media wh*re.

seems to me he just loves playing the game and the camaraderie with his teammates and wants to keep it going as long as possible. He knows he will miss it terribly one day.

Point well taken…but is it just remotely possible that his singling out Favre has something to do with the fact that the Cowboys lost eight of their last nine games with the Vikings? (Not that that makes it any less funny…or poignant).

When your career objective is to score, it’s hard not to take that objective into retirement, so you continue to search for a tight end.

    Oh cleo! :-D

Hillbillyman Yeah, he’s 41 and still hot! In looks and on the football field. And he will really miss football, He genuinely loves the game more than any football player I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot. Sorry, I still think he brings class to the game. And yes, I’m probably his number 1 fan! Can you tell? :-)

Dry, I’m so disappointed in him. He is the first sports figure I ever wrote a fan letter to. When he ‘retired’, I wrote him a really nice note of gratitude for his love of the game, and encouragement for his future. Then came the thing with the Jets, and then MN, where he did make a marvelous showing. I’m old and naive, I guess, because I was disgusted with his behavior off the field. His has a beautiful wife and and two kids. Guess he was using his ‘little brain’…

MerryMarg that is still to be proven. The accuser looks like a tart to me. Speaking of fan letters, I wrote one to Bart Starr when I was about nine, still have the letter and photo he sent me back!

I think he should come back next year, win the Super Bowl, be voted MVP of the league, create a cure for cancer, star in Something About Mary 2, and then retire, of course, on a high note.

Dry - Bart Starr should not be mentioned in the context of this strip. He was the epitome of class and defined “love of the game”

He has already admitted to the “sexting” charge and has been fined $50,000.00

He should have shown some respect for his lovely wife and family (new grandbaby)……………So the “Retire with Class” is no longer an option.

Selfish behavior shouldn’t be validated. It sounds to me as though Mr. Favre doesn’t have a plan for after football. That’s the problem with a thrill-centered life. The next 50 years will pale in comparison to the first 40 or so without t he right priorities.

Brett Farve didn’t even play against Philly. they had a rookie QB in his place.
