Nothing wrong with a cat that bites or claws a bit.

Sadly, our house has been bereft of cats for about 15 years. The house is cleaner, and we can breathe better.

But a house without cats is not a home.

If I did this with my Bridgette, I’d be a bloody mess. But I still love her!

What a sweet Blue Russian Ludy is being. My sons cat does this with him. As far as clawing goes I trim my sweet inside kitties once a month.

This reminds me of Bill Mauldin cartoon, with a soldier carrying an officer with a twisted ankle to, I guess, an aid station. "Don’t mention it, Lootenant. They might have replaced ya with one of them salutin’ demons.”

The cat I am using as my avatar had to be put down this very day. My sense of loss has no limits and I grieve deeply now. Farewell old buddy, farewell…

I have two cats. They have an emery scratching pad that they love, and my furniture is untouched. They are in their teens now, and when they were kittens, a spray bottle of water convinced them not to claw the furniture.

Declawing cats is cruel. It may cause litterbox issues, and they can become biters. One of our neighbours has a declawed cat who is very unpredictable and bites without warning. I don’t know if he is in pain, or if it is due to fear because he doesn’t have claws, he is pitiful to see.
