Since Obama especially, their unrepentant reply will be and actually has been “So what! Who cares? The Liberals & Democrats are far worse. They’re [you-know-what]-lovers!” The bigotry and racism is so gut-wrenching and uncompromising. The miserable GOP base and now the whole party, with Tяцmp as their exemplar and ideal, consists of nothing more than fascist authoritarians and fearful white, male, “Christian” supremacists. In other words, Nazi and KKK types. They’re not deplorables, they’re despicables, and Tяцmp is their Führer.
However, don’t take that to mean that I think that the Democratic Party is composed of angels…
Considering that the Democrats were the racists and segregationists when I was young, it’s hard to believe that they have moved to the once socially progressive, fiscally conservative GOP (Lincoln, Eisenhower, et al) to have their hates and fears nurtured and there are no truly patriotic Republicans left that will defend the Constitution and all of the American people against hate fear and bigotry.
“Hidden damage” must be brought to light prior to repair. Eighteenth century thinking has no place in the twenty-first century. Not too much longer America will be more brown than white – maybe Glorious Leader is scared of this, too. Despite his mean talk Glorious Leader does not show up for the fight.
Why does anyone think that Republicans are actually interested in apologizing? They are getting away with their agenda due to this President. They want more of such drama from him so that they can hide their own misbehavior.
I still hold to the belief that there are still good people who do good things, Republicans notwithstanding.
