Do I believe Trump is a racist? Youbetcha. Do I think Trump’s recent tweets against the 4 progressive House freshmen are racist? Absolutely. You know what else they are? A very effective diversion away from the Epstein scandal and whatever involvement Trump had in it.
We all knew that he was this way long before he was elected. The real problem is that the rest of the GOP has joined him. They have all become part of Trump’s gang.
It’s almost sad to see a segment of society so fearful of a future where you have to compete based on your ability to adapt to an ever-changing world, trying to turn back time (as they envisioned it) to when race/religion exclusively determined your status … except, the great harm to the world that they are engaged in, does not make one sympathetic to their futile effort. The current resident is just a symptom of the seemingly brain-eating infection … others could follow.
Will their elderly members of this future-fearing cult survive long enough - with our inadequate healthcare system - to sustain their leader’s control?
Will their thoughtless/racist/supremacist ideology appeal to a younger, more diverse, more educated generation?
By Jonathan A. Greenblatt, CEO and national director of the Anti-Defamation League
BEGINS:
President Donald Trump is facing a firestorm of controversy over his recent racist and xenophobic tweetstorm attacking liberal freshman members of Congress. And for good reason: His series of tweets suggesting that four U.S. congresswoman should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came” reads as if it was ripped from a white supremacist manifesto.
It was shocking to hear the leader of the free world make such offensive statements about other elected leaders. But it didn’t stop there. As the criticism increased, rather than retract his statements, the president instead doubled down, insisting that he’s not racist and that the members he’s attacking hate America and hate Israel.
…
While I also have been deeply troubled — even at times disgusted — by comments from some of these congresswomen about Israel and Jews and have disagreed strongly with some of their policy statements, none of that justifies speaking in such racist and xenophobic terms.
And let’s be clear: Trump’s language was absolutely and unquestionably racist despite his denials to the contrary.

Wow! It’s not often you can convey such a powerful message with no words at all. Well done, Mr. Alcaraz.

What his followers and the ’Con booklickers in Congress seem to be hearing beautiful melodies, not racist rants.
