Jeff can call his story “The Ransom of Red Rascal”- a title as original as the story line.

Jeff’s real vocation is obviously writing adventure stories for middle-school boys. I bet he could make a living turning “Red Rascal” into a series of books ala the Hardy Boys. Or maybe into a comic strip … - Oooh, that’s an idea, a Doonesbury character who is a cartoonist! Offers some interesting possibilities in the hall-of-mirrors vein. A cartoon about a cartoonist. - Anyone remember “How to Murder Your Wife?” that was a live-action cartoon about a cartoonist who is accused of actually doing what his cartoon character does. -

Except for cartoon logic, Red Chief and Red Rascal would be cut up and thrown in the river. Damned cartoon logic!

I have flagged you, sir (or madame, as the case may be), and I’ll continue to do so until you stop being a tiresome monomaniac. Fair enough? — and we’re done.

Taliban didn’t pay, they just cut their price to $90. Check the strip for 4/10 for the 1st part of this story.

Well said, Jeanne. Gladly must have ingested some of that hallucinogenic frog juice from today’s BC.

Gee thanks, Doughfoot. Now I’ve got that stupid song stuck in my head for a while. It was bad enough having to play it every day back in a previous life as a DJ. Now it is back to haunt me again.

I’m in no danger of having the song mentioned in the strip stuck in my head, because I’m entirely unfamiliar with it. (And if you think I’m goint to Google it, you’re mad.)

Trudeau actually sat through enough of that “song” to get that many words? That’s dedication to his art & takes a stronger man than I.

I googled a few of the words given. It’s Friday by Rebecca Black. I youtubed it. I listened to it. I stopped it in the middle… This is a masterful instance of a time honored plot device, a hilarious way to roast a cruddy work of art. Another example: In Bloom County, an alien exploded after watching Tammy Bakker sing.
