You really do have a ‘thing’ against trans people, don’t you Mr. Lester. That’s not a question, so don’t bother to answer. It’s a statement of fact.

But here is a real question: Has it ever occurred to you that regardless of someone’s mental or biologic sexual orientation we all are Human … and entitled to Human dignity and fair treatment?

    I thought not.

All too sadly, this is a subject that is (and continues) dividing not just social groups, but families. Therein lies a real social problem. The support of intolerance given to recalcitrant and entrenched parents who refuse to bend their rigid and absolutist "wrongness’ attitudes on the whole area of LBGTQ+ views is rapidly alienating them from their children – and through the kids, from their grandchildren as well.

That is because those who are being raised while living through this (hopefully short) era of intolerance are rapidly becoming alienated toward having any sense of trust about anyone who is over the age of 25. This next election is going to bring out a whole host of new voters. And The Party Of Trump (TPOT) is doing neither itself nor the Republican Party favors with its shrill and implacably offensive rhetoric. TPOT is consigning itself and the RP to ignominy, irrelevance, and the ash-bin of history.

The New Young Turks just don’t believe you. In their eyes, you are uninformed, ignorant, and pointless. Worse, you are considered by them to be actively dangerous. So, go ahead. Make fun of the LBGTQ+ portion of society. And then sit in your corner and weep when your kids won’t either talk to you or let you even approach their children.

Y’all DO understand that a trans woman wanting to play sports won’t stop being trans if she’s denied? And that this is actually a pretty rare thing?

Why do those that are standing up for girls and women in sports get labeled as transphobic by those that want to replace women’s sports with trans players?

GOP has nothing else to talk about. They have to keep up the fear mongering, and they have found a target that can’t fight back. Fox “news” had found that if they take on someone their own size, they get sued, so they and their ilk pick small targets who can’t fight back

In some ways I laugh, I was born with a hermaphroditic condition (before someone wanted to create a pretty name which I feel is dumb) a blend of both male and female anatomically and cognitively masculine and feminine. My mother told the doctor who delivered me; “I don’t want that thing!” my mother’s attitude went downhill from there, infecting my three older sisters, raised unwanted and unloved. As for my sociological gender, I am both and neither, my gender at birth baby. I never played sports, mostly because I run and throw like a girl, in fact most girls throw farther and can run faster

The term transgender is about as clear as looking at a cupboard where all the labels have been removed from the cans. You don’t know what you’re getting until you open the can to see what is inside; transgender was designed to confuse at best and to undermine the medical issues of transsexuals by grouping them with drag queens/kings, transvestites, crossdressers, and transgenderist (full time crossdressers); none of the latter seems to want to change anything other than their outward attire.

Does anyone think the physical strength difference is a fair game? Anyone?

In fairness…… A transgender has an unfair advantage on a girls team. And, given big money in “games” it is reasonable to think that this can (and will) be exploited.

There is no easy answer on how to deal with the “unusual” among us.

Just create a separate category for trans, and let the 2 or three of them compete.

I guess guns didn’t get Mr. Lester enough outrage, so he had to go to the old standards of: “OMG! An insignificant number of trans women are trying to play sports!”.

It’s either that or talking about real issues. HEY Mike! What’s your opinion on the FOX “News” situation? It’s Earth Day don’t you have a snarky right wing opinion on that? Jim Jordan is n NY City where he wants to raz the locals on the horrific crime wave not happening in their town. There’s h\Hunter’s laptop and Hillary’s e-mails. BENGAZI!

Of the over 50 comments so far, only 5 or 6 are reasoned and reasonable, or have any scientific validity – the rest are typical of the Leftist Torch-and-Pitchfork Crowd; disagree with them and you must be a hater, or worse. Perhaps the marquee over Portland Oregon’s “Darcelle XV Showplace [which] has hosted the longest-running drag show on the West Coast” (Wikipedia) best sums up the whole trans controversy: “Female Impersonators”.

As much as I hate to support Lester…

Muscle mass and strength appear to have sexually dimorphic effects on bone mass in school-aged children. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs00223-020-00699-y

Compared with boys, girls had 10% less paraspinous musculature. Data indicate that sex is an important determinant well before the beginning of puberty. https://pubs.rsna.org/doi/10.1148/radiol.2242011369

Consistent with other research, these results demonstrated that adolescent boys had more strength than adolescent girls as reflected by higher scores on all measures of strength. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db139.htm

…and there are dozens more that have the same conclusion.

Google: Boston Marathon. If I’m wrong then so are they. (they’re making a third category: trans runners)

Lester was doing comparable toons when girls were wanting to play on boys football and baseball teams. Another non-issue that was made an issue.

Here is one to look at Ivy-Marie Buzinhani Brustello a Canadian 12 year old female weight lifter; she has out lifted males in her weight class even in the international setting.
