The last panel is correct. The school system has been destroyed by self-centered, pathetic ‘educators’ and politicians who don’t know how to teach … and don’t care.
The public school system is designed to crush creativity and celebrate mediocrity. The first sign of doom was when they starting hold graduation ceremonies for kindergarten, grade school and junior high! That’s also why so much of the school budgets get syphoned off into “sports” programs instead of actual education. When I was in high school, we students had to hire the bus, pay the driver and finance the whole thing in order to take a geology field trip to look at rocks and stuff in their natural setting. But our football team got sent to play at Pudahoe, Hawaii, at no expense to themselves!

When I went to school the only year book we got was when we graduated high school. Now they have year books for every grade.
