I was going to say how happy I was to see this oldie but goody is still around. However, I have to agree with the person who says this is abusive. I must say this is the first Mutt & Jeff cartoon that has ever disippointed me and we go way back. It was my mother who first introducted me to Mutt & Jeff when I was a little kid, and I can tell you this sure would have made her mad! Of course you have to remember that these strips are probably reprints from the old days when many people were not as sensitive to the feelings of animals. Still, I fail to see the humor in it.

I don’t care for the scared look on the horse’s face in the last panel. Using a paddle is abusive. For shame.
