In those real life cop shows, they tell the male respondent to calm down, just calm down sir. And it usually works. The female, on the other hand,saying that just sets them off to greater heights of mania.
I hate how often those words jump out of my mouth before I can stop them. “Calm down” or “just relax”; I know it’s the wrong thing before I even finish saying it. It’s like a reflex.
