Good morning IMudd and everybody! Looks like we’re all getting a late start!

hey dry. you typed this about your mom yesterday:She was a Registered Nurse for 40 plus years, Lt. in the Army Nurse Corp during WW2.wow. that is MY line……my mom (passed in ’06) was a Lt. in the army as a nurse in WW2 and was an RN for 40 plus years.The interesting story was that when she met my dad in Amarillo Texas in the summer of ’42(hey, that reminds me of a movie) ,since she was an officer and he was a corporal, they had to resort to subterfuge to see each other. The army discouraged interaction between officers and enlisted men.there was a wedding picture that sat on the mantel for years showing them together, he with his corporal stripes, she with her Lieutenant bars

I had another busy day yesterday. What happened to the lazy days of summer.

Honestly, I do miss saying “hi” to everybody individually everyday…still gettin’ used to it…

nighthawks that is interesting indeed! My mom did a stretch at Walter Reed and met some famous military people. In fact, she took care of many of them.
