Right. Everyone… EVERYONE who’s paying any attention does NOT want to start a global war. If you don’t understand that, perhaps we should let you lead the next charge.

Admittedly, this is a nuanced position and I know that the right whingers don’t DO nuance.

Starting a war is easy. The important question that rarely, if ever get’s asked, is what does the end of the war look like.

Who said, “An Eye for an Eye Leaves Everybody Blind”. Ghandi?

Iran’s response was fairly limited and Jordan shot down some of the air traffic. It could easily get a lot worse. I pray that it doesn’t. It’s already pretty Horrible.

Iran’s policy is to destroy Israel and kill all Jews. Biden’s policy is to give them the money to do it and try to hold back Israel from defending themselves.

Poets & Singers eloquently tell of a world without wars. That is a fools errand. Sure we can try to prevent them but there will never be a world without the threat of armed conflict.

No one WANTS them to start a war. It’s the 21st century. No war is isolated. Anything between Iran and Israel will draw in other players into a regional conflict. Since both sides of that war have nuclear weapons, there is a chance, however slight, that the conflict could escalate.

Anyone who “wants” that, is psychopathic. Let’s not encourage or follow psychopaths.

Seriously? Israel started it first by bombing Iran’s embassy and killing its staff. This was an act of war. Iran had to retaliate and they did it in the smartest possible way to save face: a big display of power that, they knew very well, would be intercepted and fail. Of course, they learn from this failure for next time, of course Iran’s government IS evil and wants to destroy Israel. But all things considered, their response was “acceptable”, so the mature thing would be not to escalate things.

Israel clearly does not want a wider war. Iran clearly does not a wider war. Only the arm chair quarterbacks sitting in the comfort of their homes drawing cartoons and waxing prosaic about what they would do (GRRRRR!!!!) seem to want one. Sad.

I think the 60 tons of explosives were pulled right out of Micheals butt, he does tend to guess and exaggerate.. Likely a good number of drones were not carrying any explosives, but used to deplete /distract Israeli defenses. And.. evidently no major cities were targeted. This /that was a show of.. yes we can, much like the response from Bibi a couple of days ago.

@ramireztoons – it’s like you think this started with Iran’s totally incompetent strike at Israel. Not that this started just the other day when Israel attacked another nation’s consulate to kill some of Iran’s military. This is just another sentence of the long story of strife starting with Isaac and Ishmael.

It didn’t happen in a vacuum Mike. Your cartoon makes it sound like Israel hadn’t done anything to begin with.

Do you think that, maybe, there’s enough blame to go around?

Israel took Palestine with foreign help. Before that the British. Before that the Ottomans. Why oh why aren’t Palestinians content? Heck, the average American would simply accept such foreigners actions if it happened here, wouldn’t they???

Israeli did the right thing; a measured response with little or no loss of life with pinpoint accuracy. You can’t get us with 350 missiles and drones but we can get you any day of the week(maybe not the Sabbath) and where we choose. I hope the ayatollahs crapped their pants knowing they are not safe and neither are their ports or nuclear bomb plants.

So, Iran supplies the terrorist world with weapons of destruction and are to be given a free pass? The head of the snake needs to be cut off for there to be any chance of change.

Once upon a time, the Ayatollah of Terror Rock n’ Rollah tried to sucker-punch the armored Blue Giant with 350 mighty missiles and drones, which bounced harmlessly away.

The Blue Giant slowly swung around and fixed beams of red laser eyes on the nuisance, and thunderously boomed “Seriously!?”

The Ayatollahrama nervously backed away, saying “heh, heh, I guess we’re even.”

Then the Blue Giant flicked a finger and three undetected missiles slammed into a military airport near their nuclear processing facility.

    Lessons learned.

And that doesn’t include the 20,000+ missiles that have been lobbed into Israel over the last 30 years on an ongoing basis.

How much must it take before they should be allowed to fight back?
