It’s pretty sad when Republicans need the help from Democrats to actually get anything done, including their choice for Speaker. The current Speaker is a religious nut and sycophant, but will at least help us to save Ukraine from the MAGA idol, Putin.

The House, since Repubs became the majority in ’22, have set a new record for ineptitude, passing no legislation benefitting the U.S.

The liberals have long since left the GOP. The moderates are almost gone. Now the reasonable conservatives are abandoning the party as its center moves inexorably farther and farther right.

I often think about the irony of a white male dominated party choosing a party symbol whose leader is a female matriarch. I should think it would cause cognitive dissonance… then again, most republicans have lived with c.d. for decades.

They know what’s coming in November. Ladies, it’s time to take possession of your own bodies.

The GQP lacks representative leaders.

Republicans erupt into open warfare over Ukraine aid package vote

As the speaker of the House finally allows a vote to go forward on aid, the GOP’s internecine warfare is tearing apart the party

Speaking from the Capitol on Thursday, Johnson made no apologies for antagonising them, telling C-SPAN that providing aid to Ukraine was “critically important” and “the right thing” despite the potential power of his opponents to bring him down in yet another internal party coup.

“I really believe the intel and the briefings that we’ve gotten,” Johnson said. “I believe that Xi and Vladimir Putin and Iran really are an axis of evil. I think they are in coordination on this. I think that Vladimir Putin would continue to march through Europe.

“I am going to allow an opportunity for every single member of the House to vote their conscience and their will,” he said, adding: “I’m willing to take a personal risk for that, because we have to do the right thing. And history will judge us.”

The backlash was fierce. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the outspoken Georgia congresswoman, immediately filed a resolution demanding Johnson’s removal, called the bill a “sham”.

“I don’t care if the speaker’s office becomes a revolving door,” Taylor Greene told Steve Bannon, Trump’s former adviser, on his War Room channel. “The days are over of the old Republican party that wants to fund foreign wars and murder people in foreign lands while they stab the American people in their face and refuse to protect Americans and fix our problems.”

The people who want to turn the USA into a dictatorship are upset Ukraine got money to fight their beloved war criminal Putin.

If they keep this up there will no longer be a Republican Party, they are self destructing because of the orange one.

So, 112 MAGA House Republicans obeyed Putin’s MAGA Marionette, turning their back on Ukraine, NATO, and the national interests of our country.

Thankfully, 101 Republicans put country first over sleazy MAGA politics.
