Welcome back! and sorry I keep missing the nightly party! I’ll try to stay up New Year’s Eve (and probably be the only one here! All you revellers will be out revelling!! lol).
I am having problem with my keyboard.Sticking keys, or something. Not all my keystrokes are working all the time. And sometimes stranger things happen. Can you clean out a laptop accumulated dust, dirt, cookie crumbs, etc.?
stel ol’ bel, and a gracious and happy new year to you to and may the odds be forever in your favor…..hm, where have I heard that before?….oh, well, enough of playing these games; I’m hungry
happy I think you can clean the laptop keyboard, but maybe x_Tech can tell us for sure. I do once in a while, take an alcohol pad and run it over the keys themselves. I think I read where you could do that.
happy, I have to have a lap top at the office, but at home I prefer the desk top model. It’s much easier to upgrade the bits and pieces attached to it. Also, I can’t stand the laptop keyboard.
Fellow Baby I have an accountant’s love of the number keypad that is available on all desktop keyboards. The models of laptops I’ve worked with do not have the number keypad. Overall they’re such a PITA to work with yet they are priced higher than desktops. As far as I’m concerned they should be priced at a steep discount to the desktop. And yet, I still wouldn’t buy one for home use.
I’m trying to keep my eye on most of the late games. I’ve got the Packer game on rabbit ears and the 49er game on Sunday ticket. When it goes to commercial I switch to the game mix.
@allHere’s a quick and easy solution. Simply plug a USB keyboard into your laptop. I just tried this out with a KB from an old computer and only took a few seconds for the laptop to recognize the device. Now I have full KB with the number pad. why I didn’t this long ago beats me.
You can get a new USB keyboard for under ten bucks. Or if you don’t like wire get a wireless keyboard.
For anyone that is a Heavenly Nostrils fan, Dana seems to be having Script Problems. You can get her Sunday comic at,https://dl.dropbox.com/u/102865470/hev121230.gif…i think…
Well after the Packers’ loss, happy, the 9ers are the number 2 seed and get a bye next week. We’ll see a repeat of the Packers/Vikings next week, but from Lambeau this time. I hope it’ll be a frozen, snowy tundra.
Fellow Baby I just thought it would be more interesting if the Vikings won. Green Bay already had their playoff berth. I remember the OLD days when the NFL Central Division were the ones who had some of the oldest, long standing, long founded teams. And of course the Steelers, Redskins and Eagles. I know I have forgotten some, but I really enjoyed the old days as a kid, teenager, and young adult, watching the games and the REAL football. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the game, but sadly, it has gone too commercial and lost some of the dignity it once had. He!! Tom Landry NEVER would have put up with some of the stuff the Cowboy players get away with today. They would have been benched or off the team. IMHO, Tom Landry, Vince Lombardi and Tony Dungy were 3 of the finest coaches ever because they played the game honestly and with dignity and respect. You know what I mean?
And I can still remember the day the Baltimore Colts left town in the middle of the night. Fan loyalty? Yeah, money was the name of the game! I guess that’s why I have a certain loyalty to the Ravens.
I love the black and blue division. Also loved the old Browns before they became the Ravens. I like the Ravens in spite of the money move. I now like the Broncos because Peyton is there. I hope they win it all.
Society as a whole has become more tolerant of player indiscretions unfortunately. But then, when families have lost their values, it seems unreasonable for us to expect any from our players, coaches and owners.
And it’s only 3 hours away! Some day, SOME DAY me and my youngest are going to go and watch an Orioles game and a Ravens game! Better make it soon though, before he goes off on his own!
FELLOW BABY, You got that right about Prime Time TV. I do enjoy Chicago Fire and I have a friend who is a Captain in a Fire Dept. Has been in the Fire Dept for over 30 years. He says, it is pretty accurate, except for the 2 ladies on the Ambulance wagon, some of it is accurate, but when they do things on their own, NOT TRUE. The EMS team is ALWAYS in touch with a doctor at the hospital as to what to do and NOT do.And I love CSI NY! Google Gary Sinese and you will see why. He is a TRUE PATRIOTIC CITIZEN! He gives back to our Troops in SO MANY WAYS!
Your Cowboys, are losing so far Fellow Baby! Back in the 80’s I would be worried. If they would lose, I would be in tears! LITERALLY! Since that PIG Jerry Jones took over, I am happy! Hope it stays that way!
I don’t switch teams unless my team packs up and leaves town, like my Expos who moved to Washington of all places. Sorry, but no can cheer for Washington. Go Red Sox.
I don’t like Jones any more than you do, but he’ll not give up the team until he’s dead. Hope his beneficiaries sell the team to a more hands-off owner.
happy my computer gets rid of my cookies for me and cleans my discs, but it doesn’t clean my keyboard for me. I’m afraid that unless you get one of those little keyboard vacs (mine cost $20.00), you will have to spring for a new laptop, and keep it away from food!!
Football grudges? I don’t have any grudges against sports, since I don’t watch them. I do have grudges against most programs though. Which is why I also don’t watch T,V,
Don’t worry FELLOW BABY! I’m over it, it did cause me to not care as much about Football like I used to, and then Brett came along, and then he got “screwed and disrespected” and now I have some teams I like, the Pack was my first team around 5 years of age, now I just kind of go with the flow. Lost the fanatic stage some years ago! :-D

THAT VIKING/PACKERS GAME WAS AWESOME!
I loved how Jordy Nelson tried to hide the flag McCarthy threw on that one call. LOL hilarious! Loved it!

As the Packers were already seeded, I was rooting for the Vikings! That game was one of the best I have seen in a LONG time!

I would have thought you would want the Pack to get a first round bye, Fellow Baby. They could have had it with a win.
