@Josh, where I live no one knows what a turn signal is – especially the police.

Looks like my dad’s old truck – only one taillight for brake and parking lights. Same old green too – I don’t think Chevy’s came in any color but green back in the day.

Ours was a 1954. I had a lot of good rides in the back of that truck!

Turn Signal? What turn signal? When I started driving hand signals were all we had, and you had to show you knew how to use them to pass your license exam.

Dad had a 1950 blue Chevy pickup. Loved it.

@night-gauntYeah……….The guy in the cartoon is signaling a right turn (as opposed to going straight up). A left turn is your arm/hand straight out. Dangling your arm out the window limply means you’re about to stop….I don’t think there were any others…

Haven’t had inspections in Florida since at least when I moved back in 1985.

Having been in a situation like this, waiting for the chance to get in to the garage for service, I discovered how few still knew what it meant. I wasn’t waving ‘hi’ folks!
