God: I worked so hard to give 'em brains to think and voices to speak, and out of three hundred million of 'em, the Republicans come up with this college of ding dongs! A severe Mormon nobody wants. A fat fascit blowhard with expensive habits. A Catholic primitive who's against contraception and women's rights. And an amiable deregulator who denies he ever wrote anything racist. Punk: Back to the ol' drawing board.

Conservatives have been collectively licking an electric fly swatter for a decade. Their concept of quality is baffling and demented.

This cartoon is pretty hard on Gingrich, isn’t it? Is he more of a blowhard than any other Republican? (I’m talking about you too Jerry.)

Sadly, there are much much better Republicans, but they don’t have a chance. Reasonableness is not a virtue for Republicans now.

In any presidential election, the odds are strongly in the incumbent’s favor (established record, no primary mud-slinging, a campaign team that’s had 4 years to prepare, etc.). Barring a ‘live boy/dead girl’-level scandal, Obama is the odds-on favorite for 2012, and the smart Republicans know this, which is why they’re not running and we’re left with this lot. It was the same for the Democrats in 2004, the Republicans in 1996, and the Dems in 1984.
In 2016, perhaps the Republican Party will have someone respectable to put up that won’t make the party look like a joke. But not this year.

Of course they come up with this college of ding-dongs. That’s what American voters have been given to choose from for the past 20 years…this ding-dong or that ding-dong. Hasn’t been much of a choice has it?

I took a serious look at voting for Huntsman, but the Republicans found out about it, and took him away.

Ron Paul? A crazy old bigot. Rick Santorum? A crazy young bigot. Romney is okay but not to my taste. Gingrich is a dishonest cowardly WORTHLESS lunatic, who shouldn’t be to anyone’s taste.

Still — out of 300 million……??

Ron Paul is so old that when he DOES go senile (in other words, yesterday), nobody will even notice. And, not to put too fine a point on things, a candidate who advocates both the legalization of all drugs and the lack of child welfare laws, is possibly just possibly just POSSIBLY, mind you, wanting to increase the surplus population of teenage crack whores.
