If you do invite Mötley Crüe just make sure it’s not an open bar at the reception…

excuse me, that’s “Rocker Tommy Lee”. I’m sure ‘rocker’ comes first on his (rocking) birth certificate

When did they get engaged? The last I remember she texted him about marriage and he replied he wanted to talk. Nothing after that that I remember. Was there anything or did we just jump ahead?

Momma Mia! Sounds like a story line was taken from the movie…

Leo is giving Joanie the heads up. Leo’s mom is yikes-ville.

I’m stunned you think she is being judgmental. I thought she was taken aback for a moment and is now going with the flow.

In the motherhood department, Leo’s mother is miles ahead of Joanie who dumped her daughter to run off and indulge with a vapid commune crowd. I mean, compare the children.

I don’t think that gram is being judgmental about him so much as she is about his support groups’(parents) ability to help him through the early financial burdens that all young married couples go through.

I’m not a big fan either, but come on, there are plenty of bands who are worse. Limp Bizkit, Hanson, Nickleback, chumba-wumba… I could go on for hours.

Interesting that in the last panel Leo’s button-up collar shirt is now open. Metaphor?

Mamma Mia, acted by Doonesbury characters, with songs redone by Motley Crue.

That would be the worst movie ever, and I would totally watch it.

Remember, this is “And then I decked him” Joannie, who got introduced to the strip during Mark and Zonk’s cross-country bike trip.

The aging Joanie continues to surprise me. We long-time readers have seen her move through about forty years of changes, after all—and we remember the Joanie who walked out of marriage and motherhood and hopped on the back of Mike’s (or was it BD’s?) motorcycle? Just like that. I would think she’s sincere (I mean, I would be in her shoes) except for the scowl on her face. GT could be a little kinder to his own age cohort here.

How could they get support from Leo’s father if they don’t know who he is? Myself, I think what GT is doing here through Joanie is simply being funny. The whole band showing up would be overkill, to say the least.

So Olbermann’s suing Current TV, eh.

“Keith Olbermann was disheartened to discover Al Gore, Joel Hyatt, and the management of Current are no more than dilettantes portraying entertainment industry executives.”

You watch, this is Olbermann’s way of weaseling his way over to FOX, he’s that vindictive.

Maybe he died CK, like a praying mantis … they’re also a band.

Gram has no room to be judgmental — with both her past and her charming children. In her favor, I’m not sure yet that she is being judgmental.
