One thing I like about this strip is that the parents obviously have a working relationship, unlike some other strips where the reader wonders why bother to care about a couple who don’t care about each other.
I really do love Betty and Bub. Have I really been reading this strip for 15 years? And it’s still so relevant and well-written? My love for it grows even stronger at the realization!
I love this strip because the characters are so down to earth, and I can really relate with Betty. And the issues dealt with here are ones we all face. I think what really floored me was the other day when she described her job – sounds just like mine, and I don’t have any kind of job title either.
