The “experiement” didn’t fail. It accomplished exactly what Caulfield expected.

There is no such thing as failure, there is only information.

I have a feeling that Caulfield doesn’t really consider this a failure.

You can get horns like that and mount them under your car. Google “train horn pranks”.

Whether Caulfield knew what he was doing or was just trying to be helpful, what he did was cruel, and detention at the lease would seem appropriate.

“Experiments never fail; experimenters sometimes fail. That is because experiments are determined by the laws of physics.” – Julius Sumner Miller, many times on the Steve Allen show. I learned more physics from that, and Two for Physics, than I ever did in school.

@ A StarofDestiny, Night-Guant49, underwriter, jeremymlad, K M, Thank-you, too. (You’re so kind, and I’m embarrassed it’s so silly. But you made my day! :⋅) underwriter – I wasn’t able to open your link. My son will help me with it when he has time. ( I’m afraid I’m just this side of being computer-illiterate, learning bit by bit.)I am hoping and expecting it will be the same tune that I learned as a child, and sang to my children. Those early, simple songs and rhymes really stick with you. Thanks for posting that link!

I think I’m unsubscribing from this strip. Caufield is just turning into a wise ass jerk, and it’s just getting mean spirited towards teachers.
